I want to tell y’all about something my wife and I built.

Our story · Rick & Robyn, founders · Memphis

Prefer to listen? This is, after all, what we do.

It started when a few folks asked Robyn if she’d call them in the morning — just to say hi, just something uplifting to wake up to. That request stuck with me.

Around the same time, our family was learning what everybody learns eventually: the years go by faster than you think, and as our parents get older, every ordinary morning starts to feel a little more precious.

We found ourselves thinking about them daily — but we didn’t want cameras in anybody’s house, and we didn’t want to become the family that calls to “check in” so often that checking in starts to feel like worrying out loud.

We just wanted their mornings to start with something good. Something encouraging. Something peaceful. And if I’m honest, we wanted a little peace for our own hearts too.

So we built The Blessing Line.

The phone rings — the regular phone you’ve answered your whole life. Nothing to download. Nothing new to learn.

A warm, familiar voice says your name and gives you something meant for that moment: maybe a prayer, a little encouragement, an affirmation, Scripture, or simply a reminder that you’re doing okay.

You choose what you want to receive, how you want it to feel, the voice you want to hear, and the time you’d like the call. We made it simple, and easy to change whenever you want.

One day something happened that I hadn’t really expected.

I started getting the calls myself. And I noticed something. When that phone rings, I stop. I actually listen.

Most days it’s simply a good word and a moment to reset. And then there are those calls that seem to meet me right where I am — when something’s weighing on me and the words are exactly what I needed to hear.

Sometimes they give me a different way to look at something. Sometimes they make me reflect on my day. And sometimes they simply remind me to stop for a moment and just breathe.

It’s not magic. It’s a moment. And in this busy world, I’ve learned those little moments can matter.

We built this thinking about the people we love. Then I realized there was something in it for me too.

And when you give The Blessing Line to somebody else, there’s another little part of it that has come to mean a lot to me.

After the call, you get a simple note:

“She answered this morning and heard today’s prayer.”

“Today’s word of encouragement was delivered to voicemail. It’ll be waiting whenever they check their messages.”

That’s it. Not an alarm. Not a report. We’re not watching anybody. Just a quiet little reassurance that something good reached somebody you care about. Nothing to do.

When it’s a gift, they always get to choose whether they want to receive The Blessing Line.

And The Blessing Line isn’t supposed to replace calling somebody you love. Call them. Talk to your mom. Talk to your dad. Talk to your friend.

This is simply one more way to put something good into somebody’s day — even when life gets busy. And sometimes, it’s something good you give yourself.

We’re opening The Blessing Line with a free seven-day trial, so you can experience it for yourself or send it to somebody you love. After the trial, our Founding Member rate is $7.99 a month — and Founding Members keep that rate while their subscription remains active. Our regular rate will be $9.99 a month.

A warm voice. A good word.
Sometimes thirty seconds is all it takes to change the direction of a day.
